New Airflo fly line for lake/reservoir fishing with SuperFlo technology, ultra smooth coating and extra-fine running line.

Airflo is the only fly line manufacturer that uses a polyurethane extrusion process, used as a coating for all our fly lines. However, the extrusion technology has certain technical limitations, i.e. until now, it had been impossible to vary the diameter significantly between adjacent parts of a fly line, such as between the taper and the running line of the fly line.

A running line with a fine diameter is the key element to invigorate a fly line, giving both the rod and the launched taper increased speed. With the advent of our SUPERFLO technology, we are finally able to create fly lines with reduced diameter compared to those of other manufacturers using PVC as a base, which is generally less durable.

The diameter of the running line of our number 5 floating fly lines is around 1.1 mm and about 0.95 mm for comparable fly lines of our competitors. The SUPERFLO technology now allows us to create a completely homogeneous diameter reduction down to 0.85 mm on an identical fly line. This may seem negligible, but since the masses are reduced, the fly line taper will now be able to carry more running line to the final shoot.
The taper of each fly line has been studied using a flexible polyurethane coating that will facilitate the creation of a tight loop making the fly line more efficient to generate speed. The coating of our running lines has been chosen to be rigid and durable, thus facilitating handling and performance. Between the taper and the running line, we have inserted a "Reduced compression zone" that facilitates pulls to accelerate the fly line and makes it particularly smooth on very long casts.

CDC - "Complete density control" - this term refers to a technology that allows us to vary the density and hydrophobic qualities of the material, in line with the situation for which the fly line has been developed - for example a Long distance Lake (Reservoir) fly line will be slightly less buoyant than a "Presentation" fly line designed to be used on small to medium distance rivers.

What?
The brand new Airflo SuperFlo range finally allows us to offer anglers a floating fly line that has the potential to change the way you fish in the future. The SUPERFLO fly lines retain the advantages of reduced elasticity cores, welded loops while implementing the SUPERFLO technology which, in our opinion, is the pinnacle of floating fly lines.
