Tresse de petite taille réalisée à partir de Mylar iridescent teint, conseillée pour le
montage de corps entiers et de nervures partielles. On peut aussi la défaire, en extrayant les fibres qui composent la tresse, pour obtenir un Mylar plat pour la réalisation d'ailes ou de queues de petites mouches. Pour obtenir des variations de couleurs intéressantes, il peut être enroulé sur d'autres fils de base, ce qui permet d'obtenir de multiples nuances de couleurs.
