The VR 5 is a small multidirectional reel that has been in use for several years in the field of sea fishing. It comes from the same factory as the HR 20 and its features make it ideal for vertical catfish fishing. The ease with which lures are released using the brake, is a massive benefit, compared to fixed drum reels. Moreover, even in many battles, there is no risk that the line twists when the fish tug on the line via the brake. It's precisely with thinner lines, like those commonly used for vertical fishing, that the pulling force can be severely weakened by twisting and reach a critical level. Unlike larger multi-directional reels, this reel is compact and can be easily grasped by hand, which prevents it from falling over when handling the bait or lure. The body of the VR 5 is entirely made from CNC milled aluminium. Left or right handed: The VR 5 has the unique feature of being convertible from left hand to right hand (or vice versa), which makes it suitable for both right-handed and left-handed people. When purchasing, you can of course decide in advance for a specific model. Left-handed: The left hand is used to operate. Right hand: The reel handle is used with the right hand. ADVICE: We recommend filling the reel to a maximum of 80%. Therefore, it is unnecessary to direct the line during vertical fishing.
This reel can be used on all "spinning" vertical rods in the Zeck range, as this reel is elevated, the line will be able to pass without worry even on spinning rod rings. These rods will not have a notch but this is unnecessary for vertical catfish use, likewise a rod can absolutely bend reel up or reel down.
