The Wide Basal VT81L is a new version of the famous Basal series with a widened spool for optimised capacity.
This baitcasting reel has a perfect jigging handle for all vertical sea fishing. The highly ergonomic, high-density EVA round fighting handle prevents cramping and allows more power to be applied when fighting.
The Wide Basal has a huge 8.1:1 ratio, allowing it to retrieve 99 cm per handle turn.
Combined with its record capacity for such a compact and light reel (330 g), it is therefore ideal for vertical sea fishing – even at great depths or in strong currents.
Perfect for use with slow jigs, jigs, madai, kabura, heavy tenya, nice soft lures, inchikus, etc. to hunt for seabream, bass, pollocks, dentex, seriole, gurnard, etc.
