Designed by Norihiro Sato, the inventor and master of Slow Jigging himself, the OCEANUS WIDE HD is an exceptional item. Made in Japan and composed solely of machined stainless steel parts in a monobloc frame. The OCEANUS WIDE HD is an extremely robust reel, unparalleled in comfort of use and with unique characteristics. It is equipped with 9 oblique contact stainless steel ball bearings designed to withstand greater mechanical stresses and better high-speed performance. With its ratio of 1 m per crank turn and its immense capacity (800 m of PE 1.5), the OCEANUS WIDE HD allows for deep-sea fishing. It has a very progressive "cast" brake that prevents tangling and ensures optimal control of the jig's descent speed and a combat brake with a micrometric adjustment of 6 kg. An ingenious wire guide solves the problem of unbalanced winding of the line (polarization) when the side current is strong. This system has the advantage of not braking the spool during unwinding. The OCEANUS is adorned with small details that make the difference and increase comfort: Adjustable handle length, adjustment of the reel position to adapt it to the size of the hand, lure hook and also a clever wire lock that prevents the braid from unwinding when the line is not mounted.
