In the category of round-bodied baitcasting reels, the Ryoga sets a global standard: it showcases incredible technological and mechanical innovations! Made in Japan, this 2018 version marries strength and casting performance like never before. Its characteristics elevate it to the top of "big-bait" fishing reels for propelling large pike lures. It already comes with the Award for the best baitcasting reel at the European EFTTEX professional fair. With its MagSealed bearing at the base of anchor, it remains a reference for sea fishing as well. The engineers focused on the "DR" Detective Rotation (sensitive rotation) concept. The frame's design has been reworked to provide the angler with a better grip. Indeed, the reel is more compact where the hand rests and this improved ergonomics strengthens the quality, sensitivity and control when fishing. The Ryoga has a solid body and side plates made of digital control machine-processed aluminium alloy. The G1 duralumin spool is 1.3 times stronger than standard aluminium and twice as strong as magnesium. Its micron-level precision machining significantly reduces the spool's weight to boost casting performance. The Magforce Z braking system allows this spool to start faster and turn longer. The new Hyper Mesh Gear drive wheel increases the number of teeth by 50% and tooth contact surface for increased smoothness and tenfold retrieval power.
