PENTAX applies several layers of coating to each lens surface, from the Prism and throughout the range of binoculars. This treatment guarantees better light transmission for sharper aiming.
BaK4 Prism Thanks to its incredible refractive index, the BaK4 glass prism found in all PENTAX binoculars is highly appreciated for its circular exit pupil and lack of vignetting.
Aspherical Elements The sharpness across the entire surface of the lens thanks to the aspherical elements used is a key element for greater aiming comfort. Thanks to its special shape, the dispersion rate is reduced to a minimum.
Design with internal focus This design is ideal for waterproof models that require a completely sealed construction. It also contributes to a maximum reduction in size and weight and enhances the center of gravity and reliability.
Waterproofing PENTAX waterproof products are fully sealed and purged with liquid nitrogen in the lab, for fog-free viewing under the harshest conditions. With the JIS Class 6 standard, PENTAX waterproof binoculars can even be submerged up to 1 meter underwater.
Long Eye Relief The comfortable eye relief available on almost all PENTAX binoculars allows the user to retain the full field of view in a clear and comfortable manner. This is particularly beneficial for glasses wearers, and allows for long periods of observation without eye strain.
