The Emperor Angelfish or Duke Holocanthus (Pygoplites diacanthus) is a beautifully coloured member of the Pomacanthidae family. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region and prefers lagoons, reefs and caves. It reaches a length of up to 25 cm and is an omnivorous species. The Duke Angelfish mainly feeds on sponges, algae and small organisms such as tunicates. It is a very popular aquarium fish due to its majestic colouring.
