Harness features: The 10x42 Terra ED Zeiss binoculars combine SCHOTT ED glasses with a compact and waterproof housing to create a versatile optic offering a quality image and a sleek silhouette worthy of the Carl Zeiss name.
The Terra ED is the third line of binoculars to broaden the catalogue of the Wetzlar optics manufacturer. They complement a range that already includes the popular Conquest and the legendary Victory. The engineers at Carl Zeiss Sport Optics designed the Terra ED for birdwatchers and hunters looking for affordable equipment, while retaining the qualities of a Zeiss optic.
SCHOTT ED lenses are designed to maximize light transmission and provide a high-contrast image. Thanks to the adoption of Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms and a lightweight composite chassis, these binoculars weigh in at 725g. The Terra EDs are nitrogen-filled, which prevents fogging and makes them waterproof down to a depth of about 3 meters.
This model offers an incredible observation experience thanks to its x10 magnification and comfortable 15mm eye relief. The short focus distance (from 1.6 m) allows for very close proximity to the bird or subject under observation. These binoculars also offer excellent ergonomics thanks to their central focus wheel and twist-up eyecups, making the Terra ED arguably the best mid-range binocular on the market.
