This species is perhaps the most recognised of sharks. It is found in most of the temperate waters of the world's oceans and seas. Its fusiform body, colouring, impressive dentition and behaviour are emblematic of a perfect predator. The white shark species can exceed more than 7 meters in length. It feeds on fish as a juvenile and on fish and marine mammals as an adult.
