The KITE OPTICS ARDEA AL aluminium tripod is a versatile, compact, professional tripod. It is a user-friendly and economical bird watching tripod, easy to carry. Despite its small dimensions and light weight of just 1.4 kilograms, the tubes are still large enough in diameter to provide a very rigid support for heavy optical instruments.
The ARDEA AL, weighing 2.2 kilograms with head, can extend up to 160 cm, providing comfortable viewing for very tall people. The very durable twist locks offer excellent grip and, as an advantage over conventional 'flip-lock' locks, the twist locks are quicker to use and do not get stuck behind branches or bushes in the field. They also allow the user to easily disassemble the legs for cleaning and maintenance.
A wide range of heads and other accessories can easily be added via the 1/4" and 3/8" attachments on the top disc.
