FOR MEN and ANIMALS. Ticks are part of the mite family. They attach themselves to the skin of mammals such as dogs, cats, and even humans to pump their blood. When the tick is engorged with blood, usually after two or three days, it falls to the ground. You should be particularly careful if you live in the countryside as ticks live in tall grass, underbrush, shrubs, and woods. But also in the city on vacant lots or in the woods. When ticks attach themselves to your body you can remove them with the tick puller.
