The size 10000 Aerlex XTB (black) and XSB (silver) offers exceptional value for anglers who want a long-distance reel with a high casting potential, for carp fishing or surf fishing. Although it is not as sophisticated as the more expensive long range Shimano reels, the Aerlex is an admirable versatile tool.
Offering exceptional value for money, the Aerlex XTB/XSB is an ideal reel if you are starting out in long-distance fishing, or if you want a second reel for carp fishing or surf fishing. Whichever model you choose, you can be sure that the high build quality associated with Shimano, combined with two stainless steel ball bearings and a roller bearing, will offer excellent performance in a wide range of medium and long-distance fishing styles.
Although it is not as big as the specialist long-range reels of size 14000, the 10000 model of the Aerlex is certainly big enough to be classified as a long-distance reel. This is reinforced by the inclusion of the Aero Wrap line winding and an AR-C spool, both of which contribute to improve casting performance. In use, the XTB and XSB versions have a ratio of 4.6:1, which allows to retrieve 100 cm of line per crank turn.

• Long and medium range reel for carp or surf offering exceptional value for money and quality
• The Aero Wrap and AR-C spool combine to enhance casting distance
• The 4.6:1 ratio provides strong winding power
• The Instant Drag function allows you to switch from a half-turn spool adjustment to a completely loosened setting
