The SLX lure fishing rod series was selected from the Shimano American Bass range, where it has proven to be highly effective across a wide variety of methods. Offering remarkable value for money, the Baitcasting models are aesthetically matched to the hugely popular SLX Baitcasting reels, while the Spinning models are matched to the Nexave Spinning reels.
If you're after a combination of excellent value for money, modern looks, and versatile performance for your next lure fishing rod, you need to discover the SLX rod range. Highly popular with American black-bass fishermen, the SLX is offered in a wide range of Baitcasting and Spinning options, which are also ideally suited to European predatory species using a wide variety of lure techniques.
From an aesthetic standpoint, they are matched to the SLX or Nexave reels, allowing you, depending on your preferences, to have a coordinated, splendid and inexpensive set.
The carbon blank model of the SLX offers a wonderful action, reinforced by the Shimano Diaflash in the lower part of the heel section. This is useful for the lighter models, especially when you're fighting with large, powerful fish that put your gear to the test.
All models are equipped with Shimano Hardlite rings, which are lightweight, sturdy and perfectly suited to nylons and braids. To further enhance performance and complement the modern look, an ergonomic Custom VSS reel seat integrates seamlessly into the Spinning rod blanks, while the Casting rods use a Custom ECS design with a carbon locking ring. There are 8 Spinning models to choose from, all with extra fast actions for accurate casting of light and medium lures, while the Baitcasting range is even wider with 13 models, offering a variety of actions ranging from 5-10g to 30-120g of power.
