The distinctive feature of this crayfish is that it swims on its own. It was developed to undulate during the different phases of animation (tugs and releases). On a Texas rig, it undulates as it falls, comes to rest on the bottom and extends its pincers. This unique undulation is produced by a notch at the base of the head that greatly softens the lure, functioning like a joint. The DEATHADDER HOG lends itself to all rigs: jig trailer, light Texas and heavy Texas.
