Several lures in one! The Hi-Lo's have an adjustable brim, which allows you to modify the depth and action of their swimming. The more perpendicular the brim is to the lure, the closer it swims near the surface with pronounced wobbling; conversely, when the brim is completely in line with the lure, it sinks deeper. One can therefore play on the depth of swimming and the emitted vibrations, choose, in sum, to do bottom taping, or to pass just under the surface with a lure very noticeable by the predators, or even to prospect large areas by evolving just between two waters.
