A perfect imitation of the sea bass, this cushion will make both children and adults very happy.
The species is called "wolf" in the Mediterranean in reference to the Occitan designation ("lop"), Provençal and Catalan ("llop"). The animal is so named because of its voracity which the ancients likened to that (presumed) of the wolf, the species name labrax meaning "voracious" in ancient Greek. The etymology is similar to the Latin labrum (in English: "lip") found in another family, the labridae. In the Arcachon basin, it is called "loubine", while in Brittany it is called "drenek". The names "louvine" and "lubine" are also common; and there are still other names for this fish in France: barreau, brigne, crossia, drinée (young), loubas (Provence), loubassou, loupassou, lupo, luvassu, sea perch, pique...
