The Angelfish is a very common type of aquarium fish that is part of the Cichlids family. Angelfish are native to South America and live in the central basin of the Amazon. It can be associated with other species of aquarium fish and it usually lives in groups of 5 or 6 specimens. The ideal maintenance conditions in an aquarium require a large water capacity (around 350 litres minimum), the presence of vegetation, and a temperature between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. The angelfish feeds on small larvae and plankton.
