The 580 concept: Costa Del Mar's patented ‘’580TM’’ polarising lenses and polycarbonate block yellow light spectra whose frequency is around 580TM nanometres. Indeed, yellow spectra are the most tiring for sight. They also limit the blue spectrum to reduce the sensation of ‘’blur’’. Conversely, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green, resulting in improved contrasts and less visual fatigue, regardless of light conditions.
The LightWAVE 580G glass: The LightWAVETM 580G glass is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than the other glasses offered by our competitors. The C-WALL 580P polycarbonate: The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even after a violent shock, the 580P polycarbonate can never crack. The C-WALLTM coating applied on the 580P polycarbonate glasses increases scratch resistance, repels water, fats (particularly those on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.
Co-injected frames: Costa frames are made with extremely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. TM-90 nylon is co-injected with the HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and prevents glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.
