The 580 concept:
The patented polarizing lenses and polycarbonate '580TM' from Costa Del Mar block yellow light spectra whose frequency approaches 580TM nanometres. Indeed, yellow spectra are the most tiring for the view. They also limit the blue spectrum to reduce the feeling of 'blur'. Conversely, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green with the consequences of improved contrast and less visual fatigue, regardless of light conditions.

LightWAVE 580G glass:
The LightWAVETM 580G glass is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than other lenses offered by our competitors. Virtually scratch-free, the LightWAVETM glass will give you years of perfect vision, even in the harshest conditions of use. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block

C-WALL 580P polycarbonate:
The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even following a violent shock, the 580P polycarbonate will never crack. The C-WALLTM coating applied to the 580P polycarbonate lenses increases scratch resistance, repels water, greases (notably present on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames:
Costa frames are manufacured with hugely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. The TM-90 nylon is co-injected with the HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and prevents the glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.

Stainless hinges:   All Costa glasses hinges are made of stainless steel to resist corrosion.

Lens colors:
• Copper (12% light transmission): Perfect for all freshwater fishing, Copper increases contrasts and improves underwater vision, even in poor light conditions. Copper has all the advantages of 'old-generation' yellow lenses without the drawbacks (visual fatigue...).

• Grey (10% light transmission): It's the ideal colour for all sea fishing, both in France and exotic. Grey is also suitable for freshwater fishing with very strong light conditions (alpine lakes...)..
