Enhanced night sensitivity
The Forward FN455S uses proprietary software, cutting-edge electronic components, and signal processing algorithms to provide one of the industry's highest sensitivity qualities in the infrared spectrum (night sensitivity). The result is a device delivering exemplary performances in passive mode by deep dusk and even at night, without having to activate the infrared illumination. The high sensitivity from 900 to 950 nm allows the use of the Forward FN455S with invisible infrared illuminators.
More than 500 m range in night vision
High night sensitivity, high-resolution screen, and sensor, a wide choice of brightness and contrast settings, optical quality, and powerful integrated infrared illuminator for operation in total darkness make the Forward FN455S the ideal tool to detect large prey at a distance of 450 to 500 meters.
Easy conversion of an optical sight into a night vision device
To install the Forward F on the forward optical bell of a daytime vision device, mounting adapters of different sizes are used. The adapter is permanently mounted on the vision bell. This allows quick installation of the Forward F accessory in front of the lens for night shots. When the accessory is not in use, the adapter has a protective cap that protects the lens during the day.
"Invisible" infrared illuminator with 700 mW optical power and adjustable IR spot position
The new removable infrared illuminator from Pulsar Ultra-X940S emits a 940 mm wavelength in an "invisible" field of vision. The level of optical power varies from 175, 350 to 700 mW depending on the type of observation's required lighting intensity. The illuminator's optical part allows flexible adjustment of the luminous flux to obtain maximum and uniform lighting of the observation area.
Integrated video and audio recorder
Continuous capture of still images and videos is done with the Forward FN's built-in video recorder. By activating the integrated microphone in the Forward FN menu, you can record a video with sound. The images and videos are stored in internal memory and can easily be transferred to PC/laptop via wired connection or to your smartphone or tablet via a wireless connection, thanks to the Stream Vision app compatible with iOS and Android.
Quick replacement of long-life rechargeable batteries
The Forward FN uses a state-of-the-art, independent, and autonomous power system, the B-Pack. The rechargeable IPS7 battery (6.5 Ah) fits perfectly into the specially designed housing on the sight body and has a battery life of over 7 hours in maximum consumption mode after a single charge. More powerful IPS10 (10Ah) and IPS14 (13.2Ah) batteries are also optionally available. Quick release, wireless design, and long operating life are the highlights of this power system.
Wi-Fi. Compatibility with iOS and Android devices
The integrated Wi-Fi module connects the device to Android or iOS smartphones through the Stream Vision 2 application. This combination offers a wide choice: wireless software updates of the device, live image streaming on the mobile device screen, remote control of digital functions, and more. Registered users in the application are assigned cloud storage space for photos and videos taken with a digital or thermal vision device. Importantly, the device is compatible with the first version (the previous) of the Stream Vision app.
