Deerhunter Stormliner membranes are generally laminated to the outer fabric or between two layers of fabric and are used on products without sealed seams. The Deerhunter Stormliner membrane offers a very high degree of breathability.
- Water repellent Impregnated products have undergone a water-repellent treatment and are therefore water-repellent and dirt-resistant. Stains are easy to remove and the product receives a smooth surface.
- Breathable materials Choosing Deerhunter clothing made from one of our four membranes means choosing breathable products, regardless of the weather. They remain comfortable even when you are active, for an enhanced experience.
- Windproof If you choose one of the Deerhunter products with a membrane, you automatically get a windproof product. The term "windproof" refers to the quality corresponding to the wind's ability to penetrate a garment. If you're sitting in the cold for a long time, you'll quickly appreciate your gear's wind-cutting property. Windproof hunting clothing keeps you warm so you can focus on the hunt.
• Waterproof and breathability ratings - 8.000/5.000
Waterproofing is measured in millimetres of water column pressure. Water column pressure is measured by placing a tube filled with water above the fabric. A fabric with a waterproof rating of 5000 mm does not allow water from a 5-metre high tube (5.000 mm) to penetrate. A fabric with a waterproof rating of 10.000 mm can resist a 10-metre (10.000 mm) high tube etc. MVP indicates the breathability of the membrane. The MVP index expresses the amount of water vapour that can evaporate per m2 of membrane, over 24 hours. An item with a breathability of 5.000 can therefore breathe 5.000 g (5 l) of water vapour per m2 per day.
