This is a rigid jacket made from innovative and renewable 100% biobased polyamides derived from vegetable oils and food waste, leaving a considerably reduced footprint in the manufacturing process, for example 3 times less greenhouse gas emissions compared to normal polyamides. The entirely PFC-free water repellent treatment coupled with the electrospun membrane creates a long-lasting outdoor partner with superior soft feel, high breathability and waterproofing.
This is a jacket for outdoor enthusiasts, environmental-conscious who appreciate functionality, comfort and quality, intended for use in all hikes and daily adventures in changing weather. The jacket has been developed using high-quality fabrics and zippers to last for many years. It is a unique product made from a completely new material created in close collaboration with the fabric supplier. During the development, the focus was on creating a more environmentally-friendly garment in highly breathable waterproof fabric.
The benefits of this premium product are numerous. This is a waterproof jacket with sealed seams and high breathability, perfect for hiking, trekking or other activities with a higher activity level. It is lightweight, making it ideal for packing into the backpack. Designed for intense activity, the fabric and its mechanical stretch offer good comfort during all kinds of movements, while the jacket's construction offers an exceptional fit. The elevated pockets and the two chest pockets are all easily accessible even when wearing a hiker's backpack with a belt. The jacket also has a sleeve pocket with a zipper. The long underarm ventilation zip openings keep you comfortable during the most intense hiking activities and weather changes. The jacket has an adjustable hood with an integrated brim that protects from the rain, and YKK Aquaguard® zippers that are water repellent, so water won't penetrate. The bottom can be adjusted with a drawstring and the cuffs with hooks and loops for a tighter fit and to prevent moisture from entering. The bottom and the hood feature integrated Cohaesive™ cord locks that nicely conceal the drawstrings.
It also has an integrated RECCO® reflector in case of extreme weather conditions or in case of an accident on your adventure. RECCO® is a rescue technique used by organized rescue teams to locate people lost in the wild or buried in an avalanche. The reflector can be described as a small antenna built into the jacket and is therefore always with you. It is not powered by batteries and doesn't need to be activated; it's always active. When intervening, the rescue team uses a RECCO® detector that sends a signal. When it reaches the reflector, the signal bounces back and the reflector can be located. With an integrated RECCO® reflector, you may feel more secure when partaking in outdoor activities, for example when mushroom and berry picking or hiking in unfamiliar terrain.
