Its short length of 10 or 11 feet and its clean blank are perfect for precise short-range casting up to 25 meters. This rod works well with Shorty Pellet Wagglers, Puddle Chuckers and other similar floats up to 8 grams. The compact design also allows for bringing the fish closer to the netting stage.
This is an excellent choice for fishing quality fish of all sizes, but it is primarily designed for tench, F1s and medium-sized carp up to 10 lbs and over. A thin blank and semi-through action help greatly with casting and fishing for fish, as well as minimising hook pulls.
This rod is ideally suited to reel lines of 4 lb (1.8 kg) to 7 lb (3.2 kg), and hook lengths of 3 lb 8 oz (0.15 mm) to 6 lb (0.18 mm).
The blank is finished in the burgundy red range, the trademark of Drennan, with a cork and duplon handle, a screw reel seat and a tidy keeper ring. A practical two-part design allows for assembly and folding in a matter of seconds.
