The Makra Trek SF Extra GTX is the ideal shoe for long hikes and multi-day tours with a heavy backpack. What are its features? HANWAG uses its StraightFit Extra shape for this model. It combines the generous and wide toe box of the StraightFit shape, which allows the big toe to adopt a straight position, with additional space in the forefoot and in the forefoot area of the Wide shape. It is therefore perfectly suited to people who have a wider forefoot or who want more space for their big toes. Despite the width of the toe box, the middle of the foot is always firmly wrapped to ensure perfect support on more difficult terrain. The optimized ghilly lacing of the shoe, which goes through textile loops up to the toe area, ensures a secure fit on the front of the foot and good overall stability. The HANWAG 2 Zone Lock with mechanical lace lock improves holding at the heel level. Unlike conventional tension hooks, the mechanical lace lock remains fixed and cannot slide unless manually adjusted. The "Makra fit", which has been proven, wraps the foot for exceptional power transfer. Thus, the foot and the shoe form a single unit from heel to toe. The StraightFit Extra shape is combined with a cushioning PU midsole. The Vibram Trekking SF sole, with its wide contact surface, provides robustness and stability. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, this boot keeps your feet dry in wet weather. The Perwanger suede upper is robust, breathable and durable.
