The Ferrata Tour GTX is a multifunctional mountaineering shoe designed to perform on rock, ice and snow. Whether it's high altitude mixed terrain routes or easier hikes with glacier sections, this crampon compatible shoe with customizable volume setting is particularly appealing for its HANWAG TubeTec Rock sole technology.
The Ferrata Tour GTX is a partner you can rely on. This high-mountaineering shoe combines rock, ice and snow climbing performance with optimal hiking comfort. Its versatile and multifunctional nature makes it ideal for mixed terrain mountaineering hikes, but also for less demanding mountaineering hikes with glacier sections. The HANWAG TubeTec Rock sole technology is specially designed to meet the demands of mountaineering. The HANWAG TubeTec Rock midsole benefits from the latest technological advances. The soft PU is wrapped in a sturdy TPU shell to guarantee comfort in ascents and descents, as well as exceptional performance on rock, ice and snow. The flexible TPU "tube" protects the softer and cushioning polyurethane part. The ribs and internal TPU reinforcements ensure precise and stable walking. The outsole excels due to its Vibram Integral Light pattern, while the reinforced heel and proven Vibram Mont compound offer excellent traction in mountain descents. In addition, the TPU-reinforced climbing zone at the front of the sole provides perfect big-toe stability. What distinguishes this crampon-compatible shoe? The lower part of the upper is made of classic leather for a perfect fit, combined with a flexible polyamide collar highly resistant to abrasion and reinforced by PU yarns. This stable and flexible upper allows the necessary ankle flexibility for precise placement on the rock. For mountaineering, the toe area benefits from additional insulation. An extra layer of GORE-TEX Duratherm insulation technology ensures maximum thermal insulation. Thanks to its extra insole, this shoe allows you to adjust the fit and volume accordingly. The Alpine Wide fit provides more space in the forefoot for added comfort, without sacrificing precision and climbing performance.
