The Power Thread Extreme is the thinnest fly tying thread ever created, allowing you to push current boundaries in the world of fly tying. Made with a polymer extremely durable relative to its diameter, up to ten times stronger than steel of the same diameter, it is suitable for tying flies requiring a nearly invisible thread but with excellent strength. A versatile thread that covers a broad range of uses, from the creation of smooth and uniform bodies and thoraxes on tiny hooks up to size #32, to dubbing loop tying where the thread remains nearly invisible, and in all fly tying situations where the thread must not take up too much space. Available in black (a solid colour that does not fade with use) and natural white, which can be easily coloured with a permanent marker. Recommended for very small flies and when a dubbing loop needs to be created without splitting the thread with a needle. Its size allows to create nearly invisible loops, comparable to those obtained by splitting a 25 denier Power Thread Micro. • 100 metre spool • 10 denier • 0.44 kg breaking strength. • Recommended for hooks size #20 to #32. • Using a spool with a ceramic tip is recommended.
