The ability to quickly change rigs is a significant time-saver, and we've been doing it with standard rigs for years. However, due to the short length of the rigid material used to construct a Chod Rig, until the arrival of krimps, it was always a complex and frustrating knot to tie, particularly on very short chods. The krimping of our Mouth Trap Chod filament has become an increasingly popular method for creating a QC Chod using our standard 0.6mm krimps typically associated with our popular Boom material when creating Spinner Rigs.

The size of these standard krimps was not ideal, but it had its place until now. Korda's product development team has now created a krimp specifically designed for easily constructing clean and tidy Chod Rigs. The new krimps are 40% smaller than the standard version and can be used with the 15lb, 20lb and 25lb versions of our Mouth Trap Chod filament which creates a stronger QC loop than any knot; this is particularly vital with such a short hooklink, where the pressure at the knot is at its highest.

These tiny krimps can be used with the current krimp tools in the range, and are available in two sizes - 0.5mm and 0.6mm.
