Our first model of rotating spoon: the Sleepy, very technical... too technical... did not make unanimity because of its difficulty to use. That is why we chose to work on a much more versatile model that suits everyone.
The Blackbird meets these requirements: it is an "in-line" rotating spoon that starts spinning as soon as it touches the water and at the slightest solicitation, even when reeling very slowly. It can be felt in the rod, sometimes forcing the use of a rolling swivel to limit twisting in large rivers.
Thanks to its water drop-shaped sinker, this spoon sinks rapidly to fish at the bottom of holes or to stay axis in strong currents. Slow reeling will allow you to make it evolve at the desired depth but it easily rises in the water layer as soon as the recovery speed is increased. The Blackbrid handles both strong currents and calm still waters, making it versatile on the water's edge.
