The circuit breaker or cable is one of the two tools along with the Tekagi for practising Ikejime. The SEANOX model allows this method of killing to be used on most freshwater and sea fish (bass, bream, pikeperch). This shape-memory material allows for easy handling and storage. The circuit breaker allows all the nerve endings of the fish's spinal ridge to be broken after the killing.

What is IKEJIME?

It is an ancient Japanese method of neutralising the nervous system of the living fish before bleeding it. Ikejime shows a deep respect for the fish that is chosen to be caught and allows to obtain the highest possible taste quality.
