The Heli-Safe system is ideal for any helicopter set-up, whether you're using a conventional set-up or a chod, and is now available on a ready-to-use leader. These 50cm leaders are made from the new Tight Weave Kable Leadcore and are ready to use straight out of the packaging.

The 50 cm versions are not only useful for discretion and fish safety, but they are also perfect for long distance casting. This type of hooklink has excellent anti-tangle properties but it is also very safe for the fish as it incorporates the Mini Heli-Safe System - a more compact version of the original - and ensures that the lead detaches whenever it is necessary. It also incorporates our No-Trace Safety System, which ensures that in the event of the mainline breaking, the hooklink can easily detach from the leader, and each pack comes with two spare No-Trace beads (they can also be bought separately if you need more).

The upper rubber of the No-Trace Safety System can be placed near the lead when you're fishing over a clean bottom, or can be moved to the other end of the leader when you're fishing over weed or debris, particularly when using chods.

The Mini Heli-Safe can be adjusted in different ways depending on the fishing situation, with the standard spring releasing the lead under minimal pressure and making sure it falls on the take, which is ideal in weed. It can also be replaced with the red spring (two supplied) which is designed for waters that are generally obstacle and weed free, and where you only want to drop the lead if it gets snagged on something.

It's also possible to add a collar (two supplied), which means the lead will never be ejected, but in the event of a break, the fish can still get free thanks to the No-Trace Safety System. Using a size 11 QC Ring swivel allows you to quickly and easily change rigs, and a spliced loop at one end allows it to be easily attached to your mainline - loop to loop style is the simplest and quickest.

Kable Heli-Safe leadcores are available in Gravel Brown or Weed/Silt colours, at a rate of two per pack, and are also supplied with: 2 x spare No-Trace Beads; 2 x Mini Heli-Safe collars; 2 x Mini Heli-Safe red springs.
