The Combatant is a very common aquarium fish native to the tropical freshwater of Southeast Asia, it is named pla-kad in Thai. This is a beautiful fish which is very colourful on its sides and fin. This species generally prefers to live in relatively warm water (26-30° Celsius) and rich in vegetation. Males tend to protect their territory and be aggressive with each other. It is therefore necessary not to make them cohabit in reduced volumes of water.
