High-performance eyepiece exclusively designed for PENTAX spotting scopes.
Features: • Designed to be used on Pentax PF-65 spotting scopes with which it offers long eye relief • Its use is also recommended in conjunction with astronomical telescopes equipped with a 1¼” (31.7 mm) focusing device • Resistant to splashes, JIS-4 waterproof for daily use • Pentax SMC full multilayer treatment • High refraction and low dispersion lanthanum glass • Rubber eyepiece designed to ensure the greatest observation comfort • PENTAX XF eyepieces feature high-refraction, low-dispersion lanthanum glass elements to produce high-resolution images with minimal aberrations. They are specifically adapted for observation and photography of planets. The exclusive PENTAX SMC multilayer treatment enhances light transmission and unmatched color quality. Its advanced design realized by computer simulation allows reducing internal reflections and producing brighter, more contrasting images. Thanks to their JIS Class 4 weatherproof construction, XF eyepieces are more durable and water-resistant.
With a focal length of 8.5 mm, the high-performance PENTAX XF 8.5 eyepiece proves ideal for outdoor and ornithological observation. Its use is also recommended in conjunction with astronomical telescopes equipped with a 1¼” (31.7 mm) focusing device. Its fixed focal length offers an apparent field of view of 60°, a long eye relief, and bright and highly contrasting images.
Removable rotating eyecups reveal an adapter thread (fixed focal length models: diameter of 30.5 mm with thread pitch of 0.5 mm; zoom model: diameter of 43 mm with thread pitch of 0.75 mm).
Compatible with PF-65, PF-65 ED II, PF-80 and PF-100 spotting scopes.
