Composition: • The blank is made from a single block of carbon which makes the rod robust and flexible. • In order to limit as much as possible the chance of missing a hookset, the rod has been fitted with a thin layer of fiberglass that extends up to the tip while becoming thicker. When trolling, the fish hooks itself, therefore it is essential to have good shock absorption during the bite. • The tip of the rod features a fluorescent yellow colour, which allows for easy bite detection in open water. • The handle is fitted with a thicker foam grip for better handling and increased durability when dealing with the fishing rod holders on the boat. • To ensure the rod sits securely in the tubular rod holders, the rod is fitted with a cross-bracket at the base. The cross-system is detachable and can be adjusted according to need and fishing type without altering the rod's design. • The Renkystick consists of 10+2 rings that are positioned very close to the blank for better line distribution across the entire length of the blank.
Action with the "Big baits": • The Renkystick was designed for fishing big pike, catfish and sea fishing. • The rod has a 7/3 action, the top three parts are more flexible and help to absorb headshakes better. The bottom seven parts of the rod are more rigid. This combination gives the rod a great reserve of power for enjoyable fights with meter pike or 2m+ catfish. Even smaller-sized pike are clearly felt with the action of the rod. • The length of 2m70 is ideal for trolling, whether at a 90° angle with a Side-planer or vertical positioning.
Reel: The Renkystick can be fitted with stationair or multi action reels. The FUJI Big Reel seat is extremely sturdy and robust and ensures a good hold of the reel.
