The SLX XT reel is an advanced version of the extremely popular SLX, one of Shimano's best-selling casting reels. Retaining the features that made the original SLX version so popular, the "XT" version is equipped with the SVS Infinity brake adjustment system. This technology uses an external adjustment wheel to optimise casting control, thereby improving performance with lighter lures.
If you are looking for a casting reel that combines excellent value for money with advanced technology, and performs very well with light lures, the SLX XT is the reel you need. Retaining the robustness and power inherent in all SLX models, the SLX XT also has the SVS Infinity system, which allows you to quickly and accurately adjust brake control using an external wheel. This allows you to fine-tune your casting accuracy when working with light lures that require maximum brake precision.
As with all SLX models, the 'XT' uses a high-end HAGANE body made from lightweight aluminium: a real asset for a reel in this price range! This offers a significant performance advantage over reels with a composite body, as a solid, rigid body such as the HAGANE technology works more efficiently during battles. The inclusion of the SVS Infinity simplifies casting control by using an external adjustment wheel to alter the reel brake, which makes this model very handy for light lures. The 'XT' comes with a S3D aluminium spool, as well as a top-quality ball bearing on the spool axle, adding even more smoothness and precision to one of Shimano's most popular ranges of casting reels.
