This revolutionary 8 strand braid (7 Dyneema strands and 1 Gore strand) combines the performance of GORE material with the mastery of SUFIX's 8 strand braiding technology. This precision construction allows for a perfectly round and regular braid, and improves tension and knot strength. The GORE fibres are made from an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). PTFE is an inert material, impervious to salt water, all chemicals, and UV light. GORE has a very low friction coefficient, making this braid superior in abrasion resistance, reducing noise and vibration, and, of course, improving casting performance.
