Kevlar is primarily used for making frames. Kevlar is extremely resistant to abrasion and the rough friction of catfish teeth.
This material is perfectly suited for making flexible leaders on single or triple hooks, depending on the type of fishing selected.
Knotless knots must be secured with a silicone or shrink sleeve, as kevlar does not fear heat. It is also possible thanks to the high resistance to cutting to use these braids to make "assist hooks" on deep fishing jigs (grouper, jack, etc) in tropical countries.
