The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are designed in the design of classic daytime binoculars. With their reduced form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars are perfectly suited to hand size, while displaying an attractive aesthetic and optimal ergonomics. The six control buttons are placed in an easy-to-access area and the most used digital functions are activated by a simple press.
The design of the Merger LRF binoculars takes into account the characteristics of the human view. Everyone naturally receives visual information simultaneously through two visual channels. Two-eye observation tires less than single-eye observation. This allows for better detection of small or blurry objects and increased performance in low contrast scenes than with similar thermal monoculars of equivalent technical characteristics. The interpupillary distance is adjustable on the Merger LRF from 62 to 74 mm according to the user's characteristics.
The concept of distance to the target is essential for making the right decision. An integrated laser range finder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows you to measure distances in single measurement and continuous scan modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for a quick and error-free estimate of the situation.
A high sensitivity sensor with a NETD < 25 mK captures the smallest temperature differences when observing in low thermal contrast conditions, as well as in the rain or fog. The 640x480 pixel resolution ensures secure identification of the target, high quality visualization of the animal's anatomical features, as well as small details of the surrounding decor.
The characteristics of the thermal imaging optics have a decisive influence on the ability of a thermal imager to capture even barely measurable radiation levels. Combined with ultrasensitive sensors, the high power lenses of Merger LRF thermal imagers (F50/1.0) offer maximum detection efficiency. During rain or fog, when the thermal contrast of the observed scene is minimal, the user of the Merger LRF always has access to a detailed, contrasted and informative image of the highest quality.
The Merger LRF thermal binoculars are backed by advanced image processing algorithms that reveal their efficiency under different weather conditions and device operating situations. With Merger LRF optics, the user benefits from an image of an unprecedented level, sharp and without background noise, with improved object details and increased contrast.
The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one integrated with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other removable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees up to 10 hours of autonomy, enough to cover the active use duration of the scope during a hunting session. The relief on the body of the removable battery allows you to precisely find the direction of battery insertion, so you can replace it quickly and safely, even in total darkness.
A powerful F50/1.0 lens combined with a professional-quality thermal imaging sensor with 640x480@17µm offers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object 1.8 m (6 ft) high can be detected at a distance of 1800 m in total darkness.
