The 10x42 Terra ED Zeiss binoculars combine SCHOTT ED glasses with a compact, waterproof housing to create versatile optics offering image quality and a sleek silhouette worthy of the name Carl Zeiss.
The Terra ED is the third line of binoculars to enhance the catalogue of the Wetzlar optics manufacturer. They complete a range that already includes the popular Conquest and the legendary Victory. Carl Zeiss Sport Optics engineers designed the Terra ED for birdwatchers and hunters seeking affordable equipment, while retaining the qualities of Zeiss optics.
SCHOTT ED lenses are designed to maximize light transmission and render a high contrast image. Thanks to the adoption of Schmidt-Pechan type roof prisms and a lightweight composite chassis, these binoculars weigh in at 725g. The Terra EDs are nitrogen-filled which prevents fogging and makes them waterproof to a depth of about 3 metres.
This model offers an incredible observation experience thanks to its 10x magnification and a comfortable eye relief of 15mm. The short focusing distance (from 1.6 m) allows you to get very close to the bird or subject being observed. This pair of binoculars also boasts excellent ergonomics thanks to its central focusing wheel and twist-up eyecups, undoubtedly making the Terra ED the best mid-range binocular on the market.
