The Baitrunner XT is the first model of "traditional" Baitrunner. With over 30 years of development and history behind it, this classic is perfect for small and big environments for stalking carp fishing, or for specialized species such as the Barbel and Bream, where a freespool setup is necessary. If you choose to purchase the Baitrunner XT, not only are you buying the best Baitrunner model, but you are engaging in a history that hundreds of thousands of anglers have already owned this reel. Often copied, but never equaled, the drag system on a Baitrunner is perfection. Easy to use, the sound of the system disengaging when you start to turn the handle has been heard millions of times by carp anglers around the world, at the start of a new fight. The body of the Baitrunner XT is a hybrid combination of aluminum and XT-7 which provides lightweight and strength, as well as the frame rigidity necessary to keep the gears and high heat tolerance bearings in perfect alignment. This is important when under pressure from a hard fighting fish and it helps to improve the efficiency and enjoyment of fishing. The line lay is assured by the Aero Wrap and 2-speed oscillation and, in combination with the AR-C spool design, improves casting distance and accuracy. The 6000 and 10000 sizes are both equipped with a double handle, which is beautifully balanced, whilst providing enough power to control the biggest fish.
